Covid-19 Closure Notice and Procedure

Due to the executive order by the governor, between Wednesday March 25 and Tuesday April 7, The Dermatology Center of Indiana will be available to treat patients with urgent dermatological needs at its Plainfield facility and treat all patients via telehealth visits.

All patients will receive a call from one of our team members between 8AM and 4PM during the day of your scheduled appointment.

1: All patients who currently have visits scheduled from March 25 to April 7 will received a via video call between the hours of 8AM ET and 4PM ET by one of our providers. During this call, patients will conduct a complete Video Telehealth visit about their skin condition OR simply conduct a Virtual Check-in that might including discussions about their condition and/or rescheduling of an appointment. These types of visits are best utilized for such conditions as acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and other rashes. Prescriptions that are needed will be sent to the patient’s preferred pharmacy.

These types of virtual visits will be billed to a patient’s insurance similar to an in office visit following CMS coding guidelines.

During a video Telehealth visit, if it is deemed that a patient needs to be seen in person due to an essential service such as a potential skin cancer, a life threatening or life altering skin condition, an Accutane visit requiring an in office procedure such as a documented urine pregnancy test, or another essential service as determined by the provider , the Plainfield location will be open and staffed by one of our providers for such services during the following hours. Patients will be scheduled on the Plainfield providers’ schedule during the available hours either the same day or the next available date that will work for the patient and the provider.

Plainfield Hours Open for Medically Essential Services
Mondays: 8AM to 4PM
Tuesdays: 8AM to 4PM
Wednesdays 8AM to 12PM
Thursdays : 8AM to 4PM
Fridays 8AM to 12PM

2: Both new and return patients may also request an appointment in person or online through a Telehealth visit due to an essential service by calling our main phone line at 317.838.9911, online at dermindy.com or by emailing us at dermindy@dermindy.com.

3: Patients that are being seen for yearly skin checks with no concerns, and other followups that are considered non-essential should reschedule their appointment for 30 days post their currently scheduled visit.
