Sports-talk mainstay Greg Rakestraw is now 1 month post-NeoGraft procedure, and he is ready to share his latest NeoGraft results. Greg’s amazing 1 month photo results are below. If you missed Greg’s previous blogs for the Dermatology Center of Indiana, we’ll get you up to speed. Greg is on the journey to love his hair, and he’s sharing his experience so that others may learn the patient-perspective through him. Since Greg spends much of his time in the public eye NeoGraft is the perfect fit for him. NeoGraft is the least invasive procedure of its kind—no scalpel incision, no linear scar, minimal down time, and minimal discomfort. Greg can get back to doing what he loves to do.
Greg’s 1 Month Post-Procedure Blog:
I don’t think the process of growing new hair counts as a 12-step program. Far from it. But certainly the journey for me, although it’s been less than 5 weeks, has been one that’s happening in stages. There was the lead-up to the procedure, getting comfortable with what was about to happen, meeting the staff, etc. There was the full-day event that was my NeoGraft procedure, and the quick turnaround time to getting back to my busy work and social life (OK, just work) in the 24 hours that followed. And then there has been the slow but steady rate of growth in places that haven’t seen hair on my scalp in years.
Now we’re in the questions phase. As in everyone is asking me about it. They hear the spots on the radio, and they see the developments and changes in my appearance. I get phone calls from friends asking about what I say in the commercials, and whether it’s true. The answer is . . . every word of it. Most of the questions I get are from people that are thinking about having it done themselves.
My response. . . what are you waiting for? It’s your own hair. There’s no scarring involved. If I wasn’t blabbing about it all the time on the radio no one would know that I’ve had any sort of hair work done, unless you knew me beforehand and knew how the light would reflect off the back of my head, and more and more off the top of my dome. That’s not the case anymore. Any other questions? Hit me up on Twitter @GregRakestraw, and I’d be happy to chat with you. Or better yet, call Dr. Guenthner. Just don’t wait as long to get this done as I did. There’s no time like the present . . . to start loving your hair again.
