History
The Dermatology Center of Indiana was founded in 2002 by Dr. Scott Guenthner. The initial office location was in Plainfield, Indiana in the Hendricks Regional Health Medical Building located at 1100 Southfield Dr. The office started with 3 employees and Dr. Guenthner in a physical space of approximately 2300 square feet.
In 2006, Dr. Guenthner opened The Indiana Clinical Trials Center, a clinical trials unit of his solo dermatology practice. The center offers the current patient base, as well as multiple other patients, the opportunity to participate in Phase I-IV dermatology clinical trials. This addition to the practice has put The Dermatology Center of Indiana at the cutting edge of medical and surgical dermatology.
In February, 2014, The Dermatology Center of Indiana, PC opened a second location in Zionsville, Indiana, to meet the needs of a growing and significantly underserved population. This office offers comprehensive dermatologic services including significant cosmetic options.
In October, 2015, the Indiana Clinical Trials Center expanded their operations to an independent, 4800 square foot suite in Plainfield, IN. Specifically designed for the conduct of clinical trials, this unit is the premier research facility in the Indianapolis Metropolitan Area and a model for other units across the country.
Staffed with over 35 employees and 75,000 active patients, The Dermatology Center of Indiana is a premier dermatologic practice in Central and Western Indiana as well as in the Indianapolis metropolitan market.
