Actinic Keratosis

The Indiana Clinical Trials Center is recruiting volunteers with Actinic Keratosis for an experimental treatment on the face and scalp.  Subjects who qualify:

  • Ages 18 and older
  • Have between 5-12 lesions on face or scalp
  • Willing to apply treatment daily for 5 days
  • Able to attend 7 visits at our site in Plainfield

Alopecia Areata

The Indiana Clinical Trials Center is recruiting subjects for a research study on alopecia areata.  Qualified participants meet the following conditions:

  • Age 18-75
  • Definitive diagnosis of alopecia
  • Current episode of scalp hair loss lasting between 6 months – 10 years
  • At least 50% scalp hair loss

Treatment involves an investigational medication injected once ever 4 weeks and has an opportunity to participate in a long-term extension study.  Qualified participants will receive a complimentary medical examination, access to a potential treatment, and compensation for time and travel.

Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria

Hives, also known as urticaria, can make you feel itchy and uncomfortable.  They are usually red, raised bumps or welts on your skin that may come and go unexpectedly.  If you have suffered from this condition for at least 6 months, you may qualify for a clinical research study!  To qualify, you’d need to meet the following criteria:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have documentation of hives within 3 months of participation
  • Willing to complete a daily diary twice a day throughout the entire study
  • No other major medical conditions
  • Some other criteria may apply

Congenital Ichthyosis

We are currently researching a potential treatment for Congenital Ichthyosis.  If you or someone you know has this condition and meets the following criteria, please contact us:

  • Ages 6 and older
  • Has received genetic confirmation of either ARCI or RXLI subtypes of CI
    • OR is willing to get confirmation as part of the study (at no cost)
  • Has not failed retinoid therapy for treatment of CI previously

Participants in this study will receive a topical ointment to use for 24 weeks and will be required to attend at least 3 visits at our Boardman office.

We are looking for volunteers to participate in a clinical research study for Eczema.  Qualifications include:

  • Ages 2 and older
  • Have been diagnosed with eczema

Eczema – Mild to Moderate

The Indiana Clinical Trials Center is recruiting subjects for a research study on eczema.  Qualified participants meet the following conditions:

  • Age 2 and older
  • Eczema covering at least 5% body surface area (1% = 1 handprint)

Qualified participants will receive a complimentary medical examination, access to a potential treatment, and compensation for time and travel.

Hand Eczema

The Indiana Clinical Trials Center is recruiting subjects for a research study on hand eczema.  Qualified participants meet the following conditions:

  • Ages 18 and older
  • Eczema for at least 3 months
  • Tried a topical medication within the last year that has not worked.

Moderate Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)

ICTC is looking for subjects with Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) to participate in a research study.  Qualifications include:  

Age 18 or older

Have at least 3 HS lesions

Tried an oral antibiotic 

Participants may receive a physical exam by a qualified medical provider, access to an investigational treatment, and reimbursement for time and travel of $65/visit over a 45-week period.

Prurigo Nodularis

We are looking for volunteers to participate in a clinical research study for Prurigo Nodularis.  Qualifications include:

  • Must be between the ages of 18 & 75 years old
  • History of Prurigo Nodularis for at least 3 months
  • At least 10 active lesions
  • Moderate to severe itch

Psoriasis – Moderate to Severe

We are looking for adult participants to partake in our psoriasis clinical trial for moderate to severe patients.

Qualifications Include:

  • Age 18+
  • 6-month history of psoriasis (with documentation)
  • 10% body surface coverage
  • No immunodeficiency
  • Other conditions apply

Medication is an oral tablet taken once daily for 16 weeks with the possibility of a long-term extension.

Psoriasis – Tremfya Users Only

We are inviting adult subjects who are taking a biologic medication for psoriasis to enroll in a registry to monitor psoriasis symptoms and any medication side effects.  Qualifications include:

Age 18 or older

Receiving or starting Tremfya, Cosentyx, Taltz, or Siliq

The registry is for 17 visits over an 8-year period.  Subjects will be compensated $50/visit, no medication will be provided.

Rosacea

The Indiana Clinical Trials Center is currently recruiting patients for a rosacea study.  Qualifications include:

  • Papulopustular rosacea on the face
  • Between 15 and 60 lesions
  • No more than 2 cysts

This study involves 7 visits over 16 weeks to our Plainfield office and subjects will receive a travel reimbursement of $50/visit.

Scalp Psoriasis

The Indiana Clinical Trials Center is currently recruiting subjects for a Scalp and Body Psoriasis study. Qualifications include:

  • Age 12 or older
  • History of Psoriasis for at least 6 months
  • Some Psoriasis on body as well as scalp

Study requires 5 visits over 12 weeks at our Plainfield office. Benefits include a free physical examination by a qualified medical professional, access to potential psoriasis treatment, and compensation for time and travel.

Severe Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)

We are looking for volunteers to participate in a clinical research study for HS (hidradenitis suppurativa).  Qualifications include:

  • Age 18 and older
  • Diagnosed with HS for at least 1 year
  • 5 active lesions
  • History of failed antibiotics
  • No previous use of Humira
