Meet Kathie – Patient Liaison and Strategic Development Specialist
Kathie is the ICTC Patient Liaison and Strategic Development Specialist, performing a variety of clinical and managerial duties as part of the ICTC leadership team. Kathie has been a registered nurse since 1984 with direct nursing experience in critical care, medical-surgical nursing, ophthalmology, pre/post-op as well as PACU patient care in an outpatient surgery setting and dermatology clinical research. Her health-care management experience spans medical staff credentialing, risk management and quality resource management.
Kathie also completed her doctorate in Theology in 2009 and is the president of Rising River Ministries, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) teaching ministry founded in 1996. Being a Life Christian University extension campus professor enables her to pour into the lives of others through the gift of teaching.
Kathie shared, “One of the life lessons my mother taught me was to be thankful for even the smallest things. This has helped me cultivate a thankful heart and to live with an appreciation for life even in difficult times.”
Kathie loves working in her flower gardens, caring for her two cats Jackson and Chester, and being a Nana to her five grandchildren. One of her simple summertime pleasures is taking an outdoor break with a tall glass of lemonade and a good mystery. She also enjoys riding the motorcycle with her husband Chuck and is always ready for another big adventure.
