It Takes 2–The Partership of Chemical Exfoliation and Chemical Peels for Youthful Skin

Have you considered starting off your New Year with rejuvenated skin? It takes 2! The partnership of chemical exfoliation and chemical peels can offer you youthful tone and texture with a rejuvenated look to start your year off beautifully.

With a chemical peel you are actually getting the skin to exfoliate, among other benefits. Exfoliation is fabulous for diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, which makes it a great anti-aging tool. Over time we get a build-up of a dead cellular layer on the surface of the skin. As we age our cellular turnover process naturally starts to slow down, which causes the build-up. We want to encourage the cellular turnover process with chemical exfoliation. Chemical exfoliation is also excellent for increasing collagen. As we age our collagen starts to unravel and break down. Skin elasticity starts to decline and results in sagging skin. We want to increase that collagen for a more youthful appearance through chemical exfoliation.

Chemical peels are excellent for several reasons including the reduction of acne, fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, hyperpigmentation from sun damage, and any kind of hyperpigmentation associated with age spots. At the Dermatology Center of Indiana we offer two peels by ZO Skin Health, which is a medical grade skin care line that we carry. We also offer the B-LIFTx peel. Our deeper ZO peel may have you peeling for about five days to a week with a little redness. You may want to plan this for when you can take a bit of social downtime. Our Stimulation ZO peel is considered a no downtime peel with only 2 to 3 days of peeling. The lighter peels may be done in a series, while the deeper peels are meant to be scheduled several months apart. We’ll be introducing some exciting new peels soon at the Dermatology Center of Indiana.

We would love to see you for a complimentary consultation at the Dermatology Center of Indiana so we can decide which peel is best for your skin care needs. For the month of January receive a FREE chemical peel with your purchase of Botox or other toxins ($150 value). The perfect time to try a peel! Call us for details at (317) 584.6332.
